90/366 (2012): Hugs & Kisses

I'm taking a visual journaling class taught by Caroline Coolidge Brown. It's a total blast. Here's a tiny peek inside one of my journal pages. I like how the paint is all wet and bubbly.

89/366 (2012): Azalea Surprise!

Ever since we planted these azaleas almost a decade ago, we've never seen a single  bloom. But this Spring, they decided to give us a little show.

88/366 (2012): Chain Link Love

Hold on, hold on,
hold on to me, Sweet girl
Don't let go for the world
Cause I'm not from here
And I'm afraid that I might never see you again

86/366 (2012): Sailing Away On Fascination

Port of Call: Adjustmentville.
The house is a little too quiet this week.
Not to mention that all of the ice cream is still in the freezer.

85/366 (2012): Bloom Time For Our State Flower

North Carolina's state flower isn't even a flower, but
a small tree on which flowers grow. The white 'petals' are called bracts.
The yellow/green part is the flower.

79/366 (2012): My Assistant

My newest assistant loves spending time in my art studio. She helps out where she can, mainly alerting me when squirrels, cats or other dogs are in the yard.

78/366 (2012): Egg On Their Face

What Scrooge came up with this idea? It breaks my heart to think of all those poor little children deprived of the annual experience of dyeing eggs.

76/366 (2012): Lovett & Hiatt at McGlohon Theater

It just doesn't get any better than this.
Front row seats to see Lovett & Hiatt at one of Charlotte's most beautiful venues.
Fantastic show. Dream fulfilled.
I'll be smiling for weeks now.
Thanks Lyle and John.

69/366 (2012): Wagon Wheel

Wagon Wheel
By: Old Crow Medicine Show

Headed down south to the land of the pines
And I'm thumbin' my way into North Caroline
Starin' up the road
Pray to God I see headlights

I made it down the coast in seventeen hours
Pickin' me a bouquet of dogwood flowers
And I'm a-hopin' for Raleigh
I can see my baby tonight

So rock me, mama, like a wagon wheel
Rock me, mama, any way you feel
Hey, mama rock me
Rock me, mama, like the wind and the rain
Rock me, mama, like a south-bound train
Hey, mama rock me

68/366 (2012): Facade

One look through these windows and you'll see grass and trees growing
instead of floors and a ceiling.

67/366 (2012): Passive Parenting

2,000 of your precious offspring ready to be released on the next breeze. And you don't have a care where they're headed or if they'll grow once they land. You just want them out of your hair.

66/366 (2012): Star Lamp

Look up and you will find star lamps hanging from the ceiling in my art studio. They bring me light and happiness. Cheerful joy makers.

63/366 (2012): No Idea

I have a theme going for this first week of March and this photo fits nicely with the theme.

But I have no idea what this thing is...

So...I will be awarding a prize to the first person that can correctly tell me what is this contraption. What is it used for?

And I will be awarding a prize to the first person who can identify my theme for this week.

Just drop your answer(s) in the comment box below. Good luck.

61/366 (2012): Winter's Last Look

Stand under a tree and look up through its bare branches.
Notice the buds almost ready to pop.
