335/366 (2012): A Work In Progress - Listening To The Layers

Each layer tells it's own story, unique to itself, I stop long enough to hear its whispers, then -poof- gone, I add a new stencil, a new stamp, and a new story emerges, the layers are like the walls of a well-loved New York City apartment. But I'm not finished yet. I want to know more. Don't you?

319/366 (2012): Mr. Roger's Neighborhood

Recently, I came across an 8/31/12 NYT article about a new animated PBS show called Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. It's based from the heart of the original - Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.

Mr. Rogers holds a special place in my heart. I watched so many episodes of that show while babysitting and folding diapers. I thought the Neighborhood of Make-Believe rocked, but I lived for those factory tours.

For the curious, here's a clip from the new show.

315/366 (2012): History Made (Bobcats 101 - Mavericks 97)

The Confederate Navy Yard historical marker just outside of Bobcat's Arena needs company after the record breaking overtime win against the Dallas Mavericks. Until tonight, the Mavericks remained the only undefeated NBA team in the Bobcat's playbook. Go Cats!

I'm not sure if this news report has anything to do with the 101 - 97 win but anything is possible.

314/366 (2012): Longevity Tips From An Aging Jack-O-Lantern

Hi, remember me from the 10/29/12 post? Well, here I am today, 12 days later, which is equivalent to approximately 80 human years. And I must say, I'm still looking fine, albeit a few age spots. My beauty secrets? I stay out of the sun, I use plenty of moisturizer (Vaseline's my favorite) and I always keep my cool.
Here I am all aglow in my youth.

309/366 (2012): Roosting Hawks

Hawks hang out in this same tree across the street from my house every day. It's the perfect place to rest a spell before their next hunting trip. But sometimes they make my dog nervous and she gets worked up into a barking frenzy.
